After 10 years as an essential member of the music scene in northern California, James "Papa Bear" Williams and his younger brother Phil & moved to Colorado in 2000. Since then THE WILLIAMS BROTHERS BAND has established themselves as the musical anchor of Western Colorado. TWBB is one of the longest-running & is the most successful band in the area. They not only headline the region's top venues & festivals, tour all over the western United States, but are the most requested direct support act to play with national touring acts playing the area as well. The hit single, "CIRCLES" was nominated for a Golden Kayak Award by the International Academy Of Independent Artists for best Rock Song. TWBB hit #1 on the mp3.com Blues charts twice with JOHNNY THE SQUIRREL, & DEEP ELEM BLUES. The all original & multi-genre "LIVE AT THE MESA THEATER" was released April 2014. The first single GET ME DOWN immediately hit #5 on the Soundclick Americana Charts while the backing track CHINAMAN BLUES was the #2 song on podcasts world-wide. The album placed 3 songs simultaneously on Soundclick's top 20 Blues Rock Charts as well. The Williams Brothers are true purveyors of american music and cross genres with ease and proficiency and have worked with artists as diverse as: THE WAILERS, THE DRIFTERS, 3 DOG NIGHT, BLIND MELON, JIMMY SMITH, RAMBLIN' JACK ELLIOT, LITTLE FEAT, MONTGOMERY GENTRY, JERRY GARCIA BAND, BIG HEAD TODD & THE MONSTERS, THE SMITHEREENS, JOHNNY RIVERS, BRET MICHAELS, THOMAS RHETT, GRETCHEN WILSON, DARRYL WORELY, GEORGIA SATELITTES, STARSHIP, DEREK TRUCKS, ARCHIE LEE HOOKER, LOS LONELY BOYS, JO DEE MESSINA, THE LUMINEERS, LIVING COLOUR, JASON ISBELL, CRACKER, DOUG KERSHAW, TAYLOR HICKS, RUSTED ROOT, DREW EMMITT, VINCE HERMAN, LOTUS, JOE CRAVEN, CANNED HEAT, 2 LIVE CREW, SKID ROW, FIREFALL, POP EVIL, CHARLIE WORSHAM, JACK INGRAM, THE SAMPLES, LOGAN MIZE, JO JO HERMAN, MOTHER HIPS, CHRIS CAGLE, AMERICAN YOUNG, REV.
